Prayer Ministry

Every ministry at Morton United Methodist Church is a ministry of prayer, but one special area is leading the congregation to focus on a vision of prayer.

• Focus for February: 

"Bless be the tie that binds our hears in Christian love; The fellowship of kindred minds is like to that above". Lord, may the love we have for one another reflect the grace and love You give to each of us everyday. AMEN (taken from UM Book of Worship)

• Make a Prayer Request

Prayer request cards are available in the sanctuary / attendance pads. You may also request prayer using our online request form or by calling Judy Poole 309-696-5499 or Jan Sampson 309-266-5747, Co-Chairpersons of our Prayer Ministry.

• Prayer Before Surgery
   

Pastors are available to pray with you and your family before surgery, or during hospitalization. Please contact the office at 309-266-7174 with the date, time, and hospital where you will be having your surgery. Due to HIPPA regulations, the hospital will not call and inform the church of your hospitalization.

• SEEKING GOD IN PRAYER: One of John Wesley's achievements was his devotion to prayer.

Lord, I am no longer my own, but Yours. Put me to what You will, rank me with whom You will. Let be employed by You or laid aside for You, exalted for You or brought low by You. Let me have all things, let me have nothing, I freely and heartily yield all things to Your pleasure and disposal. And now, O glorouus and blessed God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, You are mine and I am Yours. So be it. Amen    John Wesley
