WATCH Meal-

 

United Methodist Men Spring Concert 

Come and enjoy a performance by Cathy Reynold. She will be performing on Saturday, March 25th at 7 p.m.

She will be singing from a selection of inspirational and

patriotic songs. Cathy’s motto is, “He died for me,

so I will sing for Him.”  There will be a free will offering after the performance.

ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING IS COMING….THIS SUNDAY, MARCH 26TH

On March 26th we will be asking for your contributions to help The United Methodist Committee on Relief, UMCOR, formerly known as One Great Hour of Sharing.. Your generous gifts ensure UMCOR’s response in times of crisis anywhere in the world.

Are you (or someone close to you) interested in becoming a member of Morton UMC? Join us for 2 membership classes on Sunday, March 26, and Sunday, April 2. We’ll meet in the Youth Room (NW corner of the building) from NOON to 1:30 p. m., beginning with a light lunch! In the first session, we will review basic biblical Christian beliefs and the story of the United Methodist Church. In the second session, we will explore the mission of our own congregation and what it means to be a member. If interested, please call the church office or contact JoAnn Kraft

Seder Meal Sign Up-Deadline is April 10

Seder Meal will include celebration of Holy Communion within the Jewish Passover Feast.  This year we will also pause (as is the Jewish custom) and have a full meal together before concluding the Seder.  PLEASE BRING CHILDREN who are able to understand and read along.  This meal is designed to pass the Good News of the Messiah from the older generations to the younger ones!

Crayola Marker Drive
We will be collecting used markers to help support a recycling, fueling mission. There is a drop off box located in the Welcome Center.

 

Children’s Ministry’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt needs individually wrapped candy to stuff the Easter eggs! If you are able to donate, please drop it off in the office by April 12! Thanks!

 Please check the lost and found before we donate the items that we have collected. There is also a large number of items in the kitchen that have been left behind.

 Adults Night Out

Don’t forget to make your reservation for Saturday, April 28. Reservation forms are available on the welcome desk and on the tables on Wednesday nights. Reservations will be taken from 5:00 to 7:15 p.m.  Please let Eric know if you’re up for helping.  Brian Wraight is our chef.  We will have live music, child care, a pretty room, warm service, and great food.

 Come to the Holy Land  and Sing

Pastor Lori and David, her husband, will share their experiences of traveling to Israel on Sunday, April 30 at 2 pm.

Our time  together  will include a hymn sing, led by Kerry.

Pastor Lori went to Israel in February with Bishop Beard and others from our conference.  While there, scripture was shared as the group visited many of the Biblical towns, including Jerusalem, Jericho, Bethlehem and the Sea of Galilee area.

Relay for Life

Tazewell county Relay for Life is a fundraiser for the American Cancer  Society.  It serves as a way to help raise awareness of how many have battled cancer—in their own lives, or by  loved ones.  Join us on Saturday, April 30 from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m.  East Peoria Civic Plaza which is the green area attached to City Hall at the Levee District.

You can purchase a luminary for the remembrance walk, in Honor or Memory of a loved one. You can make a donation for those who walk or you can be one of the walkers.  Sign up for an hour or more.  Stop by the table in the Gym or go online to donate/sign up at Relay for Life.
